We work with Radiesse, its unique formula offers a robust approach to anti-ageing, combining immediate results with sustained improvement over time.

Radiesse consists of microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite, a type of mineral that is naturally present in human bones, suspended in a water-based gel.
Results can last between 12 to 18 months, varying by individual metabolism, treatment area, and lifestyle factors.
Radiesse injections are generally well-tolerated. The use of Radiesse with lidocaine helps alleviate discomfort during the procedure.
Typical side effects include temporary swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within a few days.
Individuals with severe allergies, bleeding disorders, or abnormal scar formation should consult their doctor before considering Radiesse.
Most patients can return to their daily activities immediately after their treatment, although it is advised to avoid strenuous activities for the first 24 to 48 hours.
Following Radiesse treatment at Skin Medical, some swelling, bruising and tenderness in the treated area is entirely normal and typically settles within a few days. Results are visible immediately, with the full benefit of the treatment becoming clearer as any post-treatment swelling resolves. In addition to the immediate volumising effect, Radiesse continues to improve the skin over time by stimulating the body’s own collagen production. Results typically last between six and twelve months, with a top-up treatment at six months available to maintain and build on your outcome.
Radiesse is a dual-action dermal filler made from calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, a substance naturally found in human bones that is highly biocompatible and well tolerated by the body. When injected, Radiesse provides immediate volume and lift while acting as a scaffold that supports natural collagen synthesis beneath the skin. As the CaHA microspheres are gradually absorbed, they leave behind new connective tissue, offering sustained improvement in skin quality and structure over time. At Skin Medical, all Radiesse treatments are performed by Dr Sabika Karim following a thorough consultation.

These effects are entirely normal and should resolve within a few days. The final result will become clearer over the first one to two weeks once any swelling has fully subsided. It is important not to assess your final result until the area has fully settled.

Radiesse delivers both immediate and progressive results.
Dr Karim will advise on the most appropriate timing for any follow-up treatment based on how you respond and your individual goals.
Suitability for Radiesse should always be assessed during a full consultation. Treatment may not be appropriate if you have active skin infections, open wounds or compromised skin in the treatment area, a known allergy to any components of the product, a history of abnormal scarring, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Because Radiesse is not a hyaluronic acid filler it cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase, which is an important consideration to discuss with Dr Karim at your consultation.
