What is HydraFacial?

A Hydrafacial is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses patented vortex-fusion technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate the skin in a single procedure. Unlike traditional facials, the Hydrafacial machine delivers active serums deep into the skin while simultaneously removing dead skin cells and impurities.

This multi-step process improves skin tone and texture, enhances hydration and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, acne and congestion.

Hydrafacial Before and After Results

  • Improve acne-prone skin

  • Brighten pigmentation and sun damage

  • Soften fine lines

At Skin Medical, we encourage patients to combine before and after photography with their treatment journey to track visible improvements over time.

Dr Sabika Karim was the consumate professional. I deeply respect her knowledge, experience and approach. She truly is one of a kind. I have worked within the field of medicine and skincare myself for 40 years and I would wholeheartedly recommend the clinic to anyone. I also had a Hydrafacial with Malini Patel who really listened to my concerns around my sensitive reactive skin. She gave me a lovely treatment which did not irritate my skin. Many thanks all round.

Have been going to Skin Medical for over a year now and see Dr Saif Chatoo for my treatments. I was after a natural look to improve laxity, lines and sun damage . Really happy with the results and get so many compliments that my skin is glowing . I always feel Dr Saif Chatoo gives me lots of information and listens to what my skin concerns are. Totally trust him. I also had a lovely relaxing Hydra-facial followed by Dermalux by Mobina. Left my skin glowing . All the staff are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely would recommend Skin Medical if you are looking for a professional Dr led clinic and really knowledgeable kind staff that deliver results.

HydraFacial Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Hydrafacial?

A Hydrafacial is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses patented vortex-fusion technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities and infuse the skin with hydrating serums. It’s safe, effective and suitable for all skin types.

What does a Hydrafacial do for your skin?

Hydrafacial improves hydration, clears congestion, refines pores, evens out tone and texture, and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Many patients describe an instant glow and smoother, more radiant skin.

How long does a Hydrafacial take?

Most treatments take around 30 minutes, making it a perfect “lunchtime facial” with no downtime. You can return to work or social activities immediately.

Is Hydrafacial safe for all skin types?

Yes. Hydrafacial is designed to be gentle and effective on all skin types, including sensitive skin. Your practitioner can tailor the treatment and serums to suit your individual needs.

What results can I expect before and after a Hydrafacial?

Results are visible immediately, with skin looking fresher, clearer and more hydrated after one session. With regular monthly treatments, Hydrafacial can improve acne, reduce pigmentation, and soften fine lines for long-term skin health.

How often should I have a Hydrafacial?

We recommend monthly sessions to maintain results and keep your skin at its healthiest. Many patients incorporate Hydrafacial into their regular skincare routine.

What exactly does the HydraFacial treatment involve?

The treatment starts with cleansing by removing the dead skin cells and excess sebum from the skin. Next, a mix of salicylic and glycolic acids is applied to the skin to break up any dirt and oil that’s clogging pores. Then, the patented HydraPeel Tip is used to vacuum out blackheads, dirt, oil, and impurities, while hydrating, plumping, and nourishing serums are simultaneously applied to the skin.

How much does a Hydrafacial cost in London?

At Skin Medical in Northwood, Hydrafacial treatments start from £129. Prices vary depending on treatment options and any combination with other procedures.

What makes a Hydrafacial different from other facials?

Unlike traditional facials, Hydrafacial uses a medical-grade machine that combines exfoliation, extraction and infusion in one procedure. The vortex technology ensures deeper cleansing and better absorption of active serums.

Are there any risks or side effects associated with HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is generally suitable for all skin types, including thin or ageing skin, dry skin or oily skin. Side effects are extremely rare and usually minimal, including slight redness and tightness, but typically subside within a few hours.

What is the difference between HydraFacial and microdermabrasion?

Unlike microdermabrasion, which sands and suctions dead skin cells which can be more abrasive and uncomfortable, HydraFacial vacuums out pores while simultaneously pushing in potent actives, which moisturise, brighten, and protect. The process is much gentler.

Can I wear makeup after receiving a HydraFacial treatment?

Yes, you can put on makeup and return to your normal activities right after the treatment as there is no downtime.
