Aftercare for Secret RF

Thank you for choosing Skin Medical for your Secret RF treatment. We are excited to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. To ensure the best possible results and support your skin’s healing, please review the following aftercare instructions. 

Common side effects following Secret RF treatment may include: 

• Redness and swelling of the treated area
• Tenderness, warmth or a burning sensation, similar to sunburn, directly after the treatment

These side effects are temporary and should resolve within a few hours to a few days. The following day, your skin may feel tender to the touch and should return to normal quickly. Some mild dryness or rough texture is normal as your skin begins to heal and rejuvenate. You may also notice tiny micro-dots on the skin. These are part of the natural healing process and will fade as your skin regenerates. If you experience any prolonged discomfort or have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. 

✅ Wait Before Washing Your Face: Wait at least 4 hours after treatment before washing your face. Please follow the advice for your skincare below.
✅ Makeup: Please avoid makeup for 48 hours post-treatment to allow the skin to heal properly and minimize the risk of infection. Makeup may be applied from day 3 onwards.
✅ Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure, and make sure to use a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen daily to prevent sun damage.
✅ Healthy skin responds best to treatment, so please follow all skincare advice given to you before your appointment. As a reminder for your Cleansing and Moisturising routine: In the morning, cleanse with a gentle cleanser, followed by either one of the advised skincare products Fast Skin. Repair cream or Rebalance moisturiser, and finish with SPF. In the evening, cleanse again with a gentle cleanser and apply followed by either one of the advised skincare products Fast Skin Repair cream or Rebalance moisturiser.                              ✅ Avoid Heat: Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and other sources of heat for 1-2 days after treatment to prevent irritation.
✅ Avoid sun exposure, self-tanners, or heat treatments for at least 2 weeks after treatment. If you have been exposed to the sun, please inform us, as this may affect your treatment plan.
✅ Skin Sensitivity: Your skin may feel dry or slightly tender for the next few days. Apply moisturiser as needed to keep your skin hydrated.
✅ Avoid Skin Irritants: For 7 days post-treatment, avoid products containing retinol, tretinoin, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or any harsh astringents that could irritate the skin.
✅ No waxing, threading, or depilatory creams should be used on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks after your treatment.
✅ Exercise: Avoid vigorous exercise for 7 days, or until redness and discomfort have fully subsided.
✅Wear comfortable clothing: If treating a body area, expect some swelling or redness post-treatment. For face, neck, or décolleté treatments, we recommend wearing a button-up shirt.                                               
✅ Notify Us of Any Concerns: If you experience any unusual symptoms such as blistering, excessive redness, or swelling, please notify the clinic immediately.
