Aftercare for Ellansé

Thank you for choosing Skin Medical for your Ellansé treatment. We’re thrilled to be part of your journey in achieving youthful, rejuvenated skin! To ensure the best possible results and a smooth recovery, please review the following aftercare instructions. 

Common side effects following Ellansé treatment may include: 

• Mild redness or swelling at the injection sites
• Tenderness or slight discomfort in the treated areas
• Bruising (rare but temporary) 
• Mild itching or tightness in the treated area
• Temporary asymmetry as swelling may increase within the first 24 hours, but this will settle within 1–2 weeks

These side effects are normal and should subside within a few hours to a few days. If you experience anything more severe or prolonged, please contact us. 

✅ Swelling: You may experience mild swelling at the injection sites, which is normal and typically subsides within a few days. Swelling may increase within the first 24 hours, making the filler feel firmer or appear asymmetrical, but this should settle within 1–2 weeks.
✅ Avoid Rubbing or Massaging the Treated Area: Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours after your treatment to allow the product to settle properly.
✅ Avoid makeup for at least 12 hours after treatment to minimize the risk of infection.
✅ Heat Exposure: Avoid exposure to heat, such as UV light, saunas, hot tubs, swimming pools or tanning beds, for 24 hours post-treatment to prevent irritation and support the best results.
✅ Exercise & Physical Activity: Refrain from strenuous exercise or intense physical activity for 48 hours after your treatment to allow the product to integrate smoothly.
✅ Hydration: Drink plenty of water for the next 24-48 hours to support your body’s natural healing processes and help with any swelling or redness.
✅ Avoid Anti-inflammatory Medications: Refrain from taking Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Nurofen, or other anti-inflammatory medications, as well as alcohol, for 24 hours post-procedure to minimize the risk of bruising.
✅ Extreme Temperatures: Avoid extreme temperatures, including UV light, saunas, sunbeds, and swimming pools, until any redness or swelling has fully settled.
✅ Facial Treatments: Avoid intense facial treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments until your treatment is completely healed.
✅ Dental Work & Vaccinations: Avoid dental work, vaccinations, or other aesthetic treatments in the treatment area for at least two weeks after your Ellansé session.
✅ With hand augmentation, avoid carrying heavy objects and do not wear any jewellery, such as rings or watches, until any swelling has resolved.
✅ Results Timing: You may notice an immediate improvement, but the final results of your Ellansé treatment will typically appear in 2-4 weeks as the product begins to stimulate collagen production. The results can last between 1-4 years, depending on the specific product used and your individual response.
